Heart Diseases and Blood Pressure issues affect the Human Body The medical definition of heart disease is any disorder that influences the heart. Sometimes the term "heart disease" is used narrowly and incorrectly as an equivalent for coronary artery disease. Heart disease  is equivalent to cardiac disease but not with cardiovascular disease which is any disease of the heart or blood vessels. Heart disease can take a lot of forms, but the most common types are listed here.                            Blood Pressure   Coronary Artery Disease: This most common type of heart disease happens when a thick, fatty substance called plaque builds up inside the arteries, making it hard for blood to flow and carry oxygen to the heart. Heart-Muscle Damage: Damage to the heart muscle lowers its pumping power and allows blood and other fluids to back up and circulate in other parts of the body.
